The Iconic Award 2018 for Innovative Architecture has been awarded to MOON by Bertocci, a Tuscan company that has specialised in the production of bathroom accessories for more than 85 years.
Supported for more than 60 years by the German Design Council, the Iconic Awards contest identifies the best products of the year in order to promote quality in interior decoration through functional design. An international jury of experts from the world of design and journalism chose the most significant products based on criteria such as concept, innovation, design quality, functionality, practicality and ergonomics.
MOON by Bertocci, designed by PHICUBO, is a bathroom accessories collection inspired by the shape of the satellite of our planet – our moon.
The MOON by Bertocci collection brings a discrete glamour and high functionality to the bathroom. It distinguishes itself by its elegant balance between shapes and profiles, where the archetypal shape of the circle creates a final result of lightness and versatility.
MOON encompasses eight different interpretations that answer the varying needs of the bathroom user while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic and minimal elegance. The beauty of the MOON collection is that it adapts to the identity of the space in which it is positioned. Its neat geometry makes it flexible and dynamic, with modular components that allow for customisation as an accessory from both a formal and functional perspective.
Three different bases can be combined with various elements such as the circle towel holder, available in two different sizes, the circle with roll paper holder or the single roll paper holder generating a wide range of possible combinations. The simple towel holder completes the collection as single element.
Bases have a minimum size of 20cm x 12cm dnd, thanks to their weight, are very stable. Extremely customisable, the collection is available in three different colours : salt white, sepia black and tomato red.
