Taking tile design to the next level and bucking the traditional mosaic concept, this is Jointed by Mosaico+, a new collection being launched at Cersaie in Bologna.
Jointed by Mosaico+ symbolises a revolution in mosaic tile design, superseding the modularity of the mosaic chip and its repetition across the surface. Each single element can be broken down in five different ways with the random composition of each of the sub-divided chips transforming the simple surface into a complex array.
Jointed by Mosaico+ is based around a 5cm x 5cm chip engraved with a graphic motif with the end result varying depending on the way the sheets are installed, which can be repetitive or random in layout. For added effect, a tone-on-tone or contrasting grout to enhance the material’s vibrancy.
Because the series offers infinite combinations it becomes an invaluable tool for architects and interior designers to define the identity of the surface, highlight architectural and spatial features, or tell a story via the graphic visual effect.
Jointed by Mosaico+ is produced in bright, luminous, artistic cathedral glass, thinner than other glasses. This artistic glass can be coloured with full-tone or plain hues, or have a shaded or veined appearance. This new collection is a result of a decision by Mosaico+ to explore new pathways and look for unconventional solutions and personalised solutions within the mosaic tile design world.
