This year, Franchiumbertomarmi will be exhibiting at Salone del Mobile for the first time with a new collection of sophisticated, warm interior-oriented marble. The company, from Carrara, is a leading player in the stone industry and this marks its entry into the world of design with a new catalogue of indoor and outdoor furnishing accessories that celebrate the beauty and versatility of marble.
The new collections are the result of a collaboration between Franchiumbertomarmi and Eugenio Biselli from Interninow that bring the powerful essence of marble to the forefront of a contemporary language of design and trends.
The collections represent a synergy between marble and other materials such as wood, fabrics and metals with marble retaining its position as the focal point. Designer Eugenio Biselli explains, “The strength and lightness f this noble material are well visible in any image and form, finding their own harmony in space”.
The Bettogli collection is a range of sofas, armchairs and chaise-lounges. The marble elegantly surrounds its occupant, with back and armrests that follow a continuous, rigorous and essential line. The user feels at home in the unusual comfort of marble, assisted by seat cushions and furnishings. The idea of a cold and aseptic material is lost and the user is plunged into a warm and exciting embrace. Materials include carving marble, teak, and aluminium.
The Matisse collection is an innovative celebration of marble as a living material, able to decorate the house and make it “homey”. It reflects a sophisticated and elegant house in perfect Franchiumbertomarmi style. The collection includes a sofa, armchair and bed with reduced proportions and an essential and discrete design that features high versatility, functionality and comfort. Materials include marble structure, aluminium shell, and fabric coverings.
