A new business has been set up in Victoria that offers Builder Background Checks by a building industry insider that offers consumers totally independent advice and investigative reports on prospective builders.
Set up by Managing Director Brendan Watkins who has more than 12 years’ experience as a Victorian building industry association CEO, Builder Background Checks Victoria aims to provide information to consumers about how to select the right builder for their building project.
Brendan’s goal in setting up the service comes from the fact that, while many builders are professional and expert at their trade, clearly not all consumers are satisfied. He felt there was a need for an impartial and independent agency for those wanting to thoroughly explore the background of their prospective builder.
Brendan believes a Builder Background Report is an ideal marketing tool for all registered builders. When builders purchase reports – and particularly when they achieve a high score – it can be circulated to consumers at quote stage.
A Builder Background Check is the perfect third-party verification that the builder hasn’t any skeletons in the closet. Builders can also purchase a report simply to see how their background checks out without necessarily using it as a marketing tool.
Building projects can be overwhelming for consumers. There’s industry jargon, regulations, registration, permits and insurance laws to contend with. Unfortunately many rush the process of choosing a builder, and that’s when the trouble begins.
