The KBDi Designer Awards 2019 were held earlier this month in Melbourne in front of a packed crowd – here are the Tasmanian award winners.
Bathroom Designer of the Year Tas
Winner: Lydia Maskiell
The client wanted a luxurious, restorative space, and the designer delivered! The judges admired the dynamic selection of tiles, fixtures and fittings, and the sensory effects achieved with their contrasting textures and finishes. They commended the designer on her planning and detailing, and deemed this dramatic space to be a winner.
Kitchen Designer of the Year Tas
Winner: Lydia Maskiell
The devil is in the detail of this smart-looking kitchen: from the hexagonal splashback to the circular lights and the carefully framed cabinetwork, the space is a geometric delight. The judges admired the designer’s restrained material selection and thoughtful use of space, and commended her on an intelligent design.

Winner: Andrew Lowe
Large Bathrooms Tas
Winner: Lydia Maskiell
This bathroom also won the Bathroom Designer of the Year Tas Award.
Small Bathrooms Tas

Large Kitchens Tas

This kitchen also won the Kitchen Designer of the Year Tas Award.
