The new 2020 Wattyl colour palettes have been released. Bright Future and Natural Connection, although worlds apart in terms of conceptual art, together they provide brilliant inspiration for interiors.
Bright future is inspired by the rise of the digital culture making it difficult for us to distinguish what is real and what is virtual, while Natural Connection is a nod to yearning to reconnect with our natural environment and borrow from the more simple times of the past. “We are moving forward, whilst looking back, the digital and the natural are so close – and yet worlds apart!” explains Sarah Stephenson, Wattyl’s Colour and Design Expert.
Bright Future features bright, deep and bold saturated colours to create vibrancy and drama with the youthful, tech brights creating the feeling of an art installation. Used together they create a dynamism and vivid intensity and when used against a backdrop of fresh white, the look becomes more relaxed, more playful.
Natural Connection is the embodiment of our desire for the tactility of the organic, and the unrefined tones that connect us with nature.
This palette of six colours defines, in all its subtlety, the sublime layering of earthy, mineral hues, textured surfaces and sustainable, authentic materials. The colour range allows homes to feel like calm and comforting sanctuary with the harmony of mid tone colours.
While Bright Future and Natural Connection are seemingly worlds apart in terms of conceptual art, Wattyl have created beautiful inspirational colour palettes for 2020.
The 2020 Colour Palettes are available in Wattyl’s ultra premium I.D Interior ultra-low VOC paints – Contemporary Matt, Luxury Low Sheen, Silky Satin and Advanced Low Sheen.
