INAX at Artedomus

INAX handmade, extruded and sheeted mosaics and tiles are suitable for a large array of applications in commercial, residential and hospitality projects. The unique quality of the glaze and colour of the porcelain ceramics sets them apart from other products on the market, and the tiles are exceptionally hardwearing from their long, slow baking process.

The striking tiles are suitable for walls, flooring and benchtops in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries, as well as on exterior façades, such as the award-winning Marc Jacobs flagship store in Tokyo by Jaklitsch/Gardner Architects.

Drawing on Japanese tradition and culture, INAX artisans continue the techniques and spirit of their inherited craftsmanship and relentless pursuit of quality. The vast range of exquisite and unusual tiles are inspired by traditional motifs and created with intricately designed shapes and carefully calculated thicknesses to create textured effects and plays of light and shadow.

INAX Yuki Border

INAX mosaic tiles demonstrate Japanese artisans’ sensitivities towards the beauty of nature, such as the changing seasons, picturesque countryside and ebb and flow of the tides. Long and thin Yohen Border tiles have gradations of colour with a glaze that brings out the natural beauty and earthen tone of ceramics. The woven effect of Repeat Wave evokes the warp and weft of Japanese sashiko-ori cotton fabrics, and Format-Mix is a beautifully crafted tile in a variety of sizes, profiles and finishes to create a multi-dimensional geometric design inspired by Piet Mondrian’s art.

INAX architectural ceramics have exceptional consistency in their finish, removing any variations in tone and colour from each batch. Beautifully textured Hosowari border tiles draw on traditional Japanese architecture and the ancient tile walls are constructed with reused or broken roof tiles layered with clay. Sekiha is inspired by ancient Japanese temples with rusticated, interwoven copper-sheet roofing against fields of harvested rice, and Ceravio E and Ceravio U combine multiple profiles and patterns for a rhythmic and striking finish.

INAX mosaics and architectural ceramics are on display at Artedomus’ four showrooms across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. For more information visit https://artedomus.com/
