New Leicht kitchens project – The Netherlands

This new project by Leicht kitchens in the Netherlands is captivating with holistic planning which actively incorporates authentic solid wood beams.

Leicht kitchens projectThe perfect mix of charming country house look and graphically modern room plan: the architecture of this former farmhouse in the Netherlands is open right up to the roof trusses and puts a new slant on the rustic style of times gone by. In a successful contrast to the exposed solid wood beams, the kitchen studio Barthen Keuken Design Center used a free-standing, handle-less island block as the focus of this kitchen plan with Leicht furnishings and it appears to float in the spacious living area.

Leicht kitchens projectThe kitchen element, integrated between two supporting beams and raised above a concrete floor, features a sink and two separate hobs, deliberately reflects the dimensions of the architecture. The kitchen area behind with its delicate, black metal grip rails harmonises with the puristic planning.

Leicht kitchens projectWhether all-round drawer solutions in the island block, spacious and individually positionable unit elements in the rear kitchen area or the spacious workspace – concealed functions, the optimal use of storage space and visual coherence sum up this interior design concept.

Leicht kitchens projectThe cool concrete surface of the kitchen range Concrete harmonises with the natural stone worktops in the niche and island block area.

Leicht kitchens projectThe niche design is an optical highlight bringing a contrasting light colour nuance into the concept with its rear panel made of fine raw concrete.
