Bathco at Casa Décor

Bathco presented its own space, a project entitled ‘The baroness with brush’, in the 55th edition of Casa Décor 2020.

The personal and unique idea was developed with interiorist Virginia Sanchez. For the concept, Virginia wanted to honour the artist Tamera de Lempicka, one of the most known New York Art Deco artists. Joining daring and the elegant, she left a legacy of more than 80 paintings where she showed her personality, magnetism and creativity.

Bathco at Casa DécorBy way of this background as inspiration, Virginia Sanchez has given shape to a new style where brilliant colours are the protagonist. With these ideas and the most exclusive pieces of the company, the Bathco Atelier artists have created and painted by hand all of the pieces that were presented at the Madrid event.

Visitors to the space saw different hand-painted washbasins imitating marble, two large murals honouring Lempicka and ceramic volumes to dress the walls. The set had a 20’s style, where art and decoration go together joining in a vanguardist proposal that defines Bathco and brings out the Atelier artists work.

Moreover, the Cantabrian company leader who is responsible for designing and manufacturing exclusives pieces for the bathroom, was also present in Casa Decor though the Reunion washbasin model, designed by The Room studio for Gira.

Sustainability and eco-efficiency are the main issues of Casa Decor 2020 which was celebrated this year in a special mansion with more than 5000m2 located at Velazquez Street, one of the most important commercial streets in Madrid.
