New ALPI collections

ALPI presents the new collections of wood surfaces by Patricia Urquiola and Piero Lissoni that redefine the concept of wood.

ALPIALPI GRADA Design by Patricia Uriquiola – Urquiola reveals her compositional prowess in ALPI Grada, a surface in which the magic of color determines the form. The theme of the grid has been developed through an orderly system of colors and gradual passages.

ALPIALPI QUADRA Design by Patricia Urquiola – Urquiola creates a geometric ton sur ton surface, emphasizing the orderly lines of the grid and combining wood varieties based on the warm natural tones of oak and walnut. Of great decorative impact and with a contemporary language, ALPI Quadra skilfully combines chromatic harmony and balanced forms.

ALPIALPI HOUNDURAS Curated by Piero Lissoni – Piero Lissoni reinterprets the elegance of mahogany in the ALPI Honduras wood, a surface with a contemporary language that offers new expressive possibilities while expanding the range of application of this precious species.

Originally from Oviedo, Spain, Patricia Urquiola studied architecture and design at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and completed her studies at the Politecnico di Milano where she graduated under the mentorship of Achille Castiglioni. Urquiola has won several international prizes and awards and her work is exhibited in many art and design museums across the world.

Piero Lissoni is an Italian architect and designer, known for his contemporary furniture design and is an art director for Alpi, Boffi, Living Divani, Lema, Lualdi, Porro and Sanlorenzo, for whom he also designs an extensive range of products. Recognized as one of the masters of contemporary design, Lissoni has worked with a wide range of international brands.

The new collections can be viewed via the Interni Designer’s Week digital platform or at the ALPI showroom in via Solferino 7, Milan.
