A new collection of porcelain stoneware tiles, Evoluta from Ceramiche Piemme is a collection created with a new evolution in digital printing technology.
Developed in collaboration with Synchro Digit Piemme, this new production method uses special software that manages the first application of relief glazes to create a three-dimensional surface with unlimited variables.
The operation is then synchronised with a second digital application of glazes that are designed to achieve the desired graphic effect.
In this way, Evoluta is able to reproduce any natural material in a hyper-realistic manner with every vein or streak of colour now having a matched tactile feel. This natural effect is claimed by the company as a true revolution for the tile production industry with Ceramiche Piemme claiming itself as the first company to have developed and used this technology on ceramic floor and wall coverings.
The Evoluta collection fully enhances the captivating textures of metamorphic rocks, such as Italian quartzite, offering almost unlimited graphic and surface variations. There are five colours (Modern, Beyond, Global, Advanced, Cosmopolitan) available in three sizes (60×119.5 cm; 30×60 cm; 60×60 cm), and with three surfaces (Natural, Honed and Anti-Slip). There are three decorative structures for the coverings:
- “Cave” is a detailed evocation of the skilled craftsmanship involved in cutting and recomposing small blocks of stone
- “Cluster” recalls hexagonal-cut stones, reinterpreting them with a modern twist; finally, thanks to delicate crest-honing
- “Forest” makes it possible to create imaginative three-dimensional coverings free from constraints and laying patterns.
