Tide – Tailored Italian Decors – dresses walls with uniqueness and its showroom in Milan’s Durini Design District is two floors of art and design with a young, dynamic and contemporary finish.
The showroom is designed as a space dedicated to architects and designers, with workspaces for meetings and events, networking opportunities and other business functions. Tide views walls as surface opportunities in the same way that a canvas is viewed by an artist and it seeks to use design to reveal the personality of those who live in the space.
Tide uses cement, lime, micro coatings with acrylic, pearl or metallic finishes, rough or finely refined materials, to bring a new and fresh style to décor through a variety of shades, with a touch of contemporary design. The precious imperfections created by artisanal gestures are typical characteristics of Tide’s decorated surfaces which have recently expanded to include resin, textiles and an entire collection dedicated to wallpapers.
Tide’s collections can be organised in six categories, depending on the different finishes. Crust offers continuous decorative finishes with a low relief effect that recalls ancient plasters, Smooth includes finishes with multiple aesthetic variables: vibrant, flat, crinkled or plastered. Pearly has a lightly shimmery effect, with micro metallic inserts and effects that vary form smooth to plastered, form grainy to textured. Field is an evocative line, that reminds of florid, arid or sandy fields, which provides a delicately grainy and slightly relieved texture which recalls the natural environment. Stone on the other hand is evocative of monoliths, and can be smooth, rough or bush-hammered. Finally, Resin is a continuous decorative finish that is extremely resistant to impacts, very appreciated both in its monochromatic and mineral effect versions.
