Wallsauce design competition

Orient-inspired wall murals by Julia Fonnereau were the peoples’ choice in the latest Wallsauce design competition. As voted by the public, Fonnereau is the latest artist to join the designer wallpaper collection in the second Wallsauce competition to find undiscovered artwork.

In collaboration with Make it in Design, a community hub for artists, the competition brief asked designers to choose their favourite era and base their designs on this time period. Once the entries were shortlisted, they were made available for public voting. Fonneraeau’s collection – inspired by the Georgian period and the fascination with the decorative arts from the Orient – was the clear winner.

Fonnereau can often be found drawing in the garden with her dog Fifi at her side. Her works of art revel in the beauty of nature, old-charm vintage style as well as oriental-inspired designs. All of the designs are also available in the peel and stick option,
