The Amiral collection, designed for Giorgetti, welcomes its newest member – the Amiral Mirror. A multi-purpose object, it is designed to sit adjacent to the bookcase and tables from the same family.
The Amiral Mirror is a mirror, coat rack and pocket emptier – a convenient and useful item for many rooms of the home. Remaining faithful to the stylistic features of the collection, it features fluid shapes and a complementary use of wood and leather for an understated sense of luxury.
The project, designed with the attention to detail for which Dainelli Studio is known, carefully balances the choice of materials with a juxtaposition of solids and voids, to create a “light” object that provides a strong visual statement.
The item is described by Dainelli Studio as “real and surreal: imagined for an ideal home”.
Dainelli Studio imagines and create items for a range of renowned partners, including Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Lema, Gallotti&Radice, Giorgetti and Arketipo. The personal philosophy of the design duo allows them to provide this insight into their pieces, built up from imagination and then applied to the word “house” in a variety of ways. The sketch is always the starting point for any project, helps bring identity to each piece and allows the duo to create a perfect balance between real and potential dimensions in order to evolve their extraordinary furniture items.
Dainelli Studio was founded in 2007 by Leonardo and Marzia Dainelli, designers and architects who specialise respectively in product design and interior design. The studio was initially founded in Pisa but is now based in Milan. The pair conduct ongoing research into image and form that allows them to create their distinctive designs, with perfectly balanced proportions and harmony of materials and finishes.
