Step-by-Step, designed by Alberto Meda for Tubes Radiatori, has won the Red Dot Design Award in the Product Design section, in its most prestigious acknowledgement – the Best of the Best, confirming the quality of its design and its functionality.
Step-by-Step was selected by a panel of international design experts who tested thousands of products in their ‘search for good design and innovation’. The experts only awarded the Red Dot stamp of quality to products that stood out for these characteristics.
Step-by-Step will be presented in the “Red Dot Design Week” exhibition, organised online from the 21st to the 25th June and in the ‘Design on Stage’ and ‘Milestones in Contemporary Design’ exhibitions that will be held at the Red Dot Design Museum Essen from the 21st June 2021 until the 31st May 2022.
Step-by-Step, characterised by a significant, discreet architectural presence, achieves the utmost efficiency with minimal energy consumption levels. The pleated elliptical modules, tilting towards the left or the right, create charming games of light as well as visual effects. Modularity makes Step-by-Step suitable for the most diverse design requirements making it ideal for both large spaces, in which users want to introduce a significant decorative presence, and for smaller settings, where the compact overall dimensions (the radiator protrudes just 7.8 cm from the wall) save space indoors.
Besides the Red Dot Design Award 2021 Best of the Best, Step-by-Step by Alberto Meda also won the Design Plus powered by ISH 2019, the German Design Award 2020, the iF Design Award and the Big See Award 2020 in the Home category.
