CUF Milano sustainable office

The sustainable office of CUF Milano will be debuted at Supersalone by Salone del Mobile Milano to be held in September 2021.

Working from the basis that human beings are biologically predisposed to seek contact with nature, the company will present a workspace supported by ecology, where nature not only helps workers to reduce stress, but is used above all as a powerful ally for controlling air quality. The botanical elements are flanked by the use of regenerated materials, to underline the importance that the Milanese brand gives to environmental sustainability and the concept of circular economy.

Cuf MilanoFor several years now the design brand headed by Centr ufficio SpA has been committed to a more sustainable future, collaborating with architect Matteo Silverio and with two startups – Krill Design and Vitesy – to create new synergies and quickly identify design solutions for a safe return to post covid-19 workplaces.

CUF Milano combines new construction features linked to circular economy models and environmental well-being with FUSION, the versatile office furniture system designed in 2018 by John Bennett and Sakura Adachi.

Cuf MilanoThe new FUSION GREEN version is a “green” reinterpretation of Fusion that involves the use of natural materials to limit harmful emissions, and replaces the classic dividing panels between the different stations with large green walls, produced by Krill Design using a bioplastic made with coffee waste. These walls, in addition to immersing the worker in a small “indoor jungle”, allow to purify the air thanks to the Natede system developed by Vitesy.

Cuf MilanoEven the caps of the tubulars derive from coffee waste. The worktops, shelves and storage furniture of FUSION GREEN are made with multilayer panels covered in linoleum, a material of natural origin: linseed oil, wood flour, hemp and colouring pigments calendered on fabrics of natural jute.

Cuf MilanoFUSION GREEN is presented at the supersalone by Salone del Mobile.Milano, in an original and high-impact configuration that includes a very long support surface on which various botanical solutions, all different and original, will be set up. To delimit the space, the FEI free standing sound-absorbing and decorative double-sided panel, made of 100% polyester fibre, is totally recyclable and made through the reuse of plastic bottles.

The rhomboid-shaped panels of the Shape line are the sound absorbers, which are the subject of the original macro-camouflage design chosen as the background wall.
