A joint project between Scavolini and designer Vittor Niolu has resulted in the amazing Formalia collection for the kitchen and living room which also includes bathroom solutions. The Formalia collection celebrates linearity and graphic design and enhances the value of the kitchen in a sophisticated way.
The distinguishing feature of this collection is the shaped door which features a metal handle, capable of creating a contemporary, streamlined silhouette. This regular linear feature can also be seen in the detailing of the Status Wall System: a modular open-fronted structure which can be included as part of the kitchen project or installed freely as a partition element between adjoining living areas. Whatever the requirement, the Status Wall System plays with symmetry and promotes the concept of “everything on show” allowing a variety of configurations to suit the home environment.
The kitchen pictured above features a linear composition with Titanium Grey matt lacquered doors and a Rust coloured Status Wall System. The shaped door features a metal handle with titanium profile (also available in black). With a modular, open-fronted structure the detailing in the Status Wall System works perfectly with the linear elements to create a regular visual rhythm and a contemporary finish.
Formalia reinterprets furniture for the home with integrated functionality within every element – from bookcases, custom-sized containers, modular elements and desks. This ensures the collection is the perfect fit for customised settings that require perfectly organised space.
Pictured above is an example of the Formalia project, designed as a home office area. With the base unit and sliding door in the Rain finish recycled PET and the Rust finish Status Wall System, Rust matt lacquered drawers and an open-fronted element, this functional and beautiful space also includes a magnetic wall panel with dedicated accessories and a desktop in Botticino coloured Unicolor laminate.
Above is the Formalia kitchen with Rust and Light Grey matt lacquered doors and a Rust Status Wall System. Again, the shaped door features a metal handle with titanium profile to provide a contemporary finish. The balance of dark tones with light finishes gives the kitchen light and shade within a modern, functional façade.
Savolini has experimented with a range of finishes including a titanium finish that creates elegant chromatic connections between the wall units, handles, plinths and structural elements of the Status Wall System. The range is also available in black or rust which are a perfect fit with the lacquered, decorative melamine and recycled PET doors for a truly bespoke mix-and-match solution.
Formalia is the result of Scavolini’s research into contemporary life and is fully expressed in the company’s design approach to kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms. Formalia is an unconventional modular solution that perfectly interprets the social role of the modern home.
