Designed by Stefano Cavazzana, the Novello Sartus collection was unveiled at last month’s Salone Bagno as part of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2022.
The inspiration behind the collection was the reinterpretation of daily rituals within a refined, contemporary key with a focus on elegant harmonies within the shapes and materials used.
The collection is based around an original wooden frame that draws the shape of the storage. The frame can then be equipped with a range of accessories to create the final product, completely personalised for the exact space and user requirements. Accessories include washbasins resting on metal consoles or integrated sinks, equipped door bars -accessories, towel holders, mirrors, wall bookcases, consoles and columns.
Sartus is based on a flexible line of modular elements that allows the expansion, both in height and in width, of the frame to suit the space available.
The colour palette is focussed on the pure tones of natural and authentic materials, while a compositional rhythm is created by repeating decorative and functional elements, such as the metal bar or the delicate wooden profiles of the doors made from oak in different shades. The metal bar is a multifaceted and transversal element that fulfils a variety of needs, from functional to contemporary living. It works as towel rail with accessory bar with metal or wooden shelves for soap dishes or small personal items.
The metal bar is an ad hoc mouldable element to respond in a stylish and original way to the needs of the new everyday life. The washbasins, available in both circle and square shapes, are offered as countertop, integrated or free-standing, in Teknorit or marble.
The choice of materials includes Piasentina stone, Grigio Carnico marble, various lacquers and stoneware for striking combinations, while among the new accessories, the large Smile mirrors are characterised by the iconic shape from which they take their name.
