Ernestomeda presents Sign

Designed by Giuseppe Bavuso, this is the new Sign kitchen from Ernestomeda which was conceived as a solution for an open-space concept that takes a new look at how to organise space in the kitchen.

Displayed at last month’s Eurocucina and focussing on the kitchen becoming a true extension of the living room, Sign features high formal and aesthetic values with a major focus on functionality and modularity – a variety of materials, finishes and structures enables virtually infinite combinations.

Ernestomeda-SignFrom basic melamines and matte lacquered finishes to sophisticated metals and glass, woods and stone elements, Sign provides the opportunity to create a kitchen interior that is completely individual.

Ernestomeda-SignOne of the project’s distinctive features is the absence of enclosed wall units for the upper cabinetry. Storage cupboards are replaced by glass-fronted cabinets and boiserie panels creating display zones that add a decorative component to the kitchen.

Ernestomeda-SignThe Sign project features the Daylight®open system, which fits perfectly into the kitchen thanks to the use of the same finishes, the completely transparent View wall units, and the boiserie panels constructed with the new Set panelling, which can be equipped with the Stay ® small open shelf units.

Ernestomeda-SignOne of the model’s major innovations is the Move-on Plus® snack table, with a top that slides to reveal the equipped utensil storage compartment underneath. Sign is further enhanced by the new MDI Induction by Inalco worktop, available in Nevada finish, together with the Able integrated cooking and washing zone, and the Bridge® top tidy system, together with the Double Indoor door system, perfect for cupboards.

The result is an open-plan home where the boundaries and barriers between the various rooms are overcome and broken down, to create a single, attractive interior for living in and sharing.
