CUCINAnD’O by Davide Oldani for ARAN Cucine

CUCINAnD’O is an amazing combination of a kitchen design inspired by D’O, a famous restaurant in Cornaredo, Milan where Davide Oldani is head chef, and a collaboration with Attila Veress.

The kitchen design represents a philosophy of pop cuisine: quality and sustainability are the underpinnings of the domestic architecture created by the Milan-born chef for ARAN Cucine as a new entry at EuroCucina 2022.

The minimal design of the central island block underlines the focus on intelligent consumption, a subject Oldani himself promotes through the idea of waste-free cuisine, and based on a simple principle: to avoid the excesses, it is necessary not to produce them.

ARAN CucineThe definition of all the CUCINAnD’O spaces mirror the values of a sustainable kitchen, with the “eliminate excess” philosophy reflected in the most operational part, with the induction hobs and the black aluminium shelves integrated into a stainless-steel worktop. As well, we see this philosophy implemented via the pocket doors that expand all along the kitchen wall.

The formal balance and elegance of this expansive structure, is underscored by the grey matte lacquer, and, thanks to organised internal compartments with pullout shelves and fully integrated drawers and appliances, preparation of meals is made easier by the possibility to have all necessary items close to hand.

ARAN CucineOldani’s cuisine is known for its balance of contrasts and this is again reflected in the kitchen design by way of the alternation of natural and artificial materials. The stainless-steel worktop slides its way towards the round snack side in elm wood at the same level.

The design features brushed elm cabinetry, slightly raised from the floor, with open shelves ideal for cookbooks or other creative storage.

Of course, at the heart of the entire CUCINAnD’O project there is sustainability, reconfirmed by the partnership of ARAN Cucine and Milesi, one of the largest manufacturers of wood coatings manufactured using sustainable processes.
