Acquabella at Salone del Mobile Milano
Acquabella made its debut at Salone del Mobile.Milano this year with a booth inspired by the “wellness design” of spas and resorts. The booth was designed to allow visitors to experience first-hand the incredible properties of Akron® and Dolotek®, Acquabella’s innovative patented materials.
Salone del Mobile.Milano 2022
Salone del Mobile.Milano 2022 has come to a close and is being heralded as a successful return to live events in a post-pandemic world. While numbers were lower than in previous years – 262,608 attendees from 173 countries – it’s important to remember that the normally large contingent from China and Russia were unable to attend.
Sixty years with the Salone del Mobile.Milano
On the 60th anniversary of the show, Salone del Mobile.Milano paid tribute to 12 companies that have taken part in every edition of the trade fair, from 1961 to the present day. These companies have invested in the trade show since the very beginning, believing in the value and showcasing the beauty and quality of Made in Italy products to the world. A special presentation was made on Saturday 11th June in the Design with Nature Arena in Hall 15 to pay tribute to the long term relationship with these companies. Each company was presented with a numbered, limited-edition silkscreen print of the very first Salone del Mobile poster, revisited in a contemporary key by Emiliano Ponzi.
Salone Satellite Awards
The 11th edition of the SaloneSatellite Awards were presented at the show to recognise the up and coming designers aged 35 years and younger. And the winners are…
Mirei Monticelli at Salone Satellite
Young Milan-based designer Mirei Monticelli presented at her booth in Salone Satellite earlier this year as part of the curated section within Salone del Mobile.Milano.
Mirei’s new collection “Ocean Myths” takes inspiration from the sea – as the name implies – and it uses the semi-transparent Banaca fabric for which she is known.
What’s on – Salone del Mobile Milano 2022
Next week, for the first time since the pandemic, Salone del Mobile Milano 2022 in its full format will be held in Milan at the Rho Fiera showground. The show is traditionally broken down into component parts, each focussing on a different area of speciality spread over 20 halls. Salone Internazionale del Mobile includes Salone del Complemento (International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition), Workplace 3.0 (International Workspace Exhibition), S. Project, EuroCucina (International Kitchen Furniture Exhibition), FTK (Technology for the Kitchen), Salone Internazionale del Bagno (International Bathroom Exhibition), SaloneSatellite (for designers under 35 years) and Design With Nature (curated by Mario Cucinella).
