Lincoln Sentry acquires Furniture Hardware Supplies SA

Lincoln Sentry, one of Australia’s leading suppliers and distributors of cabinet and architectural hardware, has announced the signing of an agreement to acquire the business of FHS SA, a deal that we believe will benefit customers and reflects Lincoln Sentry’s strong appetite for growth within and outside South Australia.

Lincoln Sentry General Manager Kevin Bruce says the acquisition will deliver customers the best of both brands.

“FHS SA has a well-deserved reputation in South Australia for supplying quality cabinet hardware products and an exceptional customer experience,” Kevin says. “With this acquisition, we’ll be maintaining everything customers know and value about their FHS SA relationship, and building on it with the benefits that come from being one of the country’s biggest names in this sector. This includes a bigger range to choose from, including Lincoln Sentry’s extensive range of architectural hardware components, and the advantages that our advanced logistical and ordering platforms provide both our employees and customers.”

Kevin says the timing was right for Lincoln Sentry to look for expansion opportunities following the rollout of a major systems upgrade within the business in recent years.

“In 2021, we heavily invested in a new ERP and e-commerce system and a digitally enabled, integrated warehouse management system. This has created a very strong foundation that allows us to really meet customer needs and expectations and it’s put us in a position to be able to properly support our growth ambitions,” Kevin says.

“There is current pent-up demand in the South Australian market after almost three years of Covid disruption, which is another reason why this is a good time for brand expansion. But we are also committed to the State over the longer term and investing in developing our offer, including constantly looking at new product development opportunities that complement our existing extensive range.

“It’s part of our broader company DNA to be continually looking for ways to enhance what we already offer in the marketplace and that’s certainly true within Lincoln Sentry. In acquiring the business of FHS SA, we’re bringing in 80 plus years of additional industry know-how and we’re excited to be bringing greater scale to our presence in South Australia.”

When the acquisition completes, Lincoln Sentry will have 310 employees across Australia including nearly 100 field sales staff across 25 locations nationwide.
