As we look forward to Interzum (May 2023) we’re excited to see the previews of what is going to be on show. Lombardo Spa, established in 1967, has three new finishes that will be on display in Cologne.
Lombardo Spa is a privately-owned Italian company that produces high-end melamine faced chipboard, made exclusively from virgin wood, sourced from planted poplar trees. It is a trusted supplier for many world renowned design and furniture companies. The business strongly believes in the combination of a naturally superior chipboard, that is compact and light, with the timeless elegance of finishes and decors.
SILVA – inspired by ash veneer’s elegant lines, Silva displays a very close resemblance to natural wood and is characterised by a deep matt wood pore. Like its natural wood inspiration, it conveys a sensation of velvety silkiness to the touch.
ALTAI – follows the current trend of milling high end materials, such as marble and wood. This finish, while inspired by wood craftsmanship, transcends its natural origin and with its symmetrical, yet irregular pattern, can create complex visual effects that resemble the satin effect of fluted glass.
TATAMI – inspired by Asian culture, Tatami is characterised by an intersection of horizontal and vertical lines. The result is an elegant and refined texture that is amplified by the addition of a ZEN finish that works in unison with the partition of the decor. Minimalist and versatile, its refined contemporary look can adapt easily to several settings, from house interiors to offices, shops or public spaces.
