Designed by Pio&TitoToso, the Airframe bookcase by De Castelli celebrates the art of hammered metal and highlights the artisan virtuosity that defines the company.
Its stunning shape emphasises the find metal structure which is created from asymmetrical elliptical loops that support four discontinuous horizontal shelves. With an almost aerodynamic look, the outer shell comprises a partial covering that is shaped to match the structure.
Micro architecture at its best, the Airframe bookcase is a refined and dramatic element that will elevate any interior.
Airframe measures 180cm (h) x 220cm (w) x 55cm (d).
De Castelli is known for its dedication to celebrating the special role of metal in design and experimentation, with its artisan ideas and workmanship creating many original pieces. The company’s headquarters are located in Crocetta del Montello (TV) and it is here De Castelli applies its sustainability philosophy across the entire production cycle, from minimising water use, to working exclusively with certified metals and focussing on recycled waste.
