As seen during Milan Design Week earlier this year, this is the simply stunning LAB13 kitchen by ARAN Cucine.
The evolution of LAB13 saw a further refinement of materials and a focus on minimal lines to focus on the home environment and ensure the design is focused on family. The new LAB13 offers more ease and practicality with the kitchen highlighted as a place to share moments of everyday life.
With the view of the kitchen as an “open laboratory”, LAB13 can accommodate all guests around the central island which is composed of two blocks – one square and monolithic and the other (of the same size) designated as a cooking area with an induction hob. The linearity of the two monolithic blocks is interrupted by the wooden snack area which is positioned in the middle, but slightly below.
Behind the big central island, an equipped boiserie with Eucalyptus back and shelves, playing with the contrast of solids and voids, transforms the space in a functional and versatile way. Having cooking tools, objects and appliances visible and on hand facilitates the simplest kitchen activities, allowing full exploitation of the entire wall surface.
The equipped boiserie is completed on its sides by a vertical system composed by tall units and open modules in Grafite Grey, to contain all the useful things of daily use in an organised way.
In this way, LAB13 emphasises an industrial look that is balanced by surfaces that are smooth to touch and easy to clean. Eucalyptus and Grès Barro Satin, used for the worktops, and the Ewood Oak wood of the rectangular support surface create an attractive dialogue between materials.
Italian tradition sits convivially adjacent to modern design in creating a place for the whole family to relax, live and entertain. LAB13 proposes itself as a solution in line with the idea of a “ready to welcome” open space.
To extend the kitchen into the living zone, a series of Bright wall cabinets with doors in smoked glass and box in Alcene Scuro, are perfect to contain accessories or decorative elements.
