Patchwork
At Milan Design Week 2023, Salvatori presented a series of new products and initiatives that highlight the brand’s elegant and distinctive aesthetic, sustainable ethos and creative flair.
The company’s understanding of the responsibility that comes with working with a rare and precious material such as natural stone has long been the driving force that has seen it develop production processes and innovative designs that promote sustainability and minimise waste.
Patchwork is among the latest product that stems from Salvatori’s longstanding commitment to achieve zero waste. Designed by Piero Lissoni, it consists of tiles in a single stone, with the twist being that they are offcuts of a random selection of some of Salvatori’s most iconic textures such as Bamboo, Raw and Spaghetti.
These are placed together to create a literal patchwork, with the idea being that designers and end clients can actually choose how to combine the different textures, making for a unique and exclusive feature wall.
Available in a choice of Bianco Carrara, Pietra d’Avola and Silk Georgette®, Patchwork is further demonstration of Salvatori’s determination to respect the planet’s natural resources and innovate in the field of sustainable design.
Spaghetti
Spaghetti, an elegant texture springing from the enduring partnership between Salvatori and Elisa Ossino, is testament to the Made in Italy craftsmanship that has long distinguished the Tuscany-based brand.
A homage to the world’s most famous pasta, the texture reproduces its iconic long, thin shape through a repeated undulating pattern that is the result of a meticulous engineering process carried out with a precision more often associated with traditional watchmakers or jewellers.
Spaghetti is available in a selection of elegant neutral stones, each of which brings its own distinctive character to the overall effect. The cool white tones of Bianco Carrara marble create a bright airy atmosphere while the pale hues of Crema d’Orcia limestone soften a space and make it appear warm and inviting. At the dark end of the spectrum, the rich chocolatey brown tones of Pietra d’Avola lend a moody, seductive contrast, while Silk Georgette®’s gentle waves of grey-beige veins make it an ode to sophistication.

Bamboo
With its minimalist appearance that evokes the clean and fluid design lines, Bamboo is one of Salvatori’s most popular and enduring textures.
Inspired by the simple, pared-back forms of the Far East, it brings that sense of calm and harmony synonymous with centuries-old cultures and traditions that venerate the tiniest of details.
The seamless grooved lines of Bamboo, running vertically or horizontally depending on preference, are ideal for any environment, with the tactile nature of gorgeous natural stone elevated by this classic, elegant design that is as contemporary today as when it was first introduced in 2003.
The texture is available in Bianco Carrara, Crema d’Orcia Select, Grigio Versilia, Silk Georgette®, Pietra d’Avola and Travertino Chiaro.
