Our AIDT group was fortunate to spend the day with tour sponsor Pedini at its facilities in the very pretty coastal city of Lucrezia.
Pedini has a proud history of Italian design and craftsmanship having been established in 1957 in Lucrezia which is in the province of Pesaro in Italy. Originally the company was an artisanal business specialising in kitchen furniture but today its product offerings extend to the kitchen, bathroom, wardrobes and living spaces.
Pedini is a powerhouse that exemplifies the “Made in Italy” commitment which is underscored by its many certifications for manufacturing methods and material/component selection. It has a global presence in more than 60 countries worldwide and is renowned for its environmental consciousness and collaboration with world-renowned designers.
Our day started with a presentation from Pedini’s Export Sales Manager, Simone Gennari followed by coffee (a must, of course!). Then our group had time to explore the extensive Pedini showroom which spans over two levels at the company’s headquarters.
Following this we were taken on a tour of the factory premises which gave our manufacturer guests time to marvel at the organisation and capabilities of the factory and our designer guests a chance to experience the “behind the scenes” of how the products are brought to life.
We were taken back to the showroom for more exploration time over the 2nd level followed by a group photo and then we hopped onto our bus to go to lunch. Lunch was a delicious affair at a local restaurant in a private room where we dined on two different types of pasta, a selection of grilled meats and salad. Entirely sated, we boarded the bus for the trip back to our hotel.
It was evident from all that we witnessed the passion and commitment of the Pedini family to upholding its reputation for quality and innovative design. We are very appreciative of the time all the staff took out of their day to make us feel welcome and host us at their premises.
