Design Plus powered by ISH 2017 acknowledges exhibitors whose products stand out because of their clever combination of technology and design. A panel of seven experts judged 154 submissions according to criteria that include, among others, design quality, overall concept, innovative content, choice of materials, as well as technical and ecological aspects.
106 companies, including 42 from Germany and 64 from abroad, took part in the competition. The judging panel awarded the ‘Design Plus powered by ISH’ award to 25 products including 14 German companies and designers, and 11 participants from Australia, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.
In the bathrooms category, the judging panel gave awards for innovative WCs that incorporate, for example, multi-functional heated towel rails, and flush plates with intelligent functions, as well as prizes for individual bathroom furniture and special fittings. In the heating and air-conditioning technology segment, the panel decided on a pellet burner with optimised combustion and a high degree of efficiency, and a series of innovative radiators, which, for example, can be installed in a modular way, are wafer-thin and highly efficient, or can be folded like screens.
