Link by Snaidero is a simple, linear project, carefully designed to enhance the functionality of all areas in the kitchen. With clean forms, plenty of detail and quality construction, Link by Snaidero reorganises the work areas to provide the entire surface with maximum functionality, focusing particularly on the space between the base and wall units.
Link by Snaidero revolutionises the space between the base unit and the wall unit with a concept designed for fast modern life with a focus on functional back units. The space between the wall units and the worktop hosts an advanced technological system designed by two eminent designers, Alessandro Andreucci and Christian Hoisl, who have both dedicated a lifetime to Industrial Design applied to interiors. Their aim was to develop an open, flexible system of containers with different designs and materials. The result is the Snaidero I-Wall system.
Every detail in the I-Wall concept is designed to meet the requirement of practical and sophisticated functionality that accompanies the daily ritual of cooking. Thus, shelves disappear behind elegant structures and appear again divided into small or large storage compartments, depending on how they are used.
The area between the wall units and the worktop can be equipped with a choice of three
solutions, depending on what needs to be stored: SISTEMA S, SISTEMA M and SISTEMA L.
SISTEMA S is small storage for accessories and small utensils. The storage units are 14cm deep and come in fully open and soft-close hinge versions which can be arranged against the wall.
SISTEMA M is medium storage for walls or islands with a container system 25cm deep. In the wall version, the containers are transformed into practical units that can be closed via downward sliding door.
SISTEMA L is the large version of the I-Wall system. This concept re-positions the wall unit at a “convenient” height and allowing it to “disappear” behind an upward sliding door. When the door is closed, the upper part of the wall unit remains open and elegant.
