The Duravit D.1 faucet range is the result of a collaboration with designers Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez that has resulted in an iconic design. With the D.1e electronic variant, extra state-of-the-art technology has been integrated into the accentuated design for even greater operating comfort.
This exquisite design requires the highest possible precision in the production process. The unique, perfectly-proportioned design is realised through the dynamic, fluid transition from basic cylindrical shape to a super-flat outlet. With clear contours and finely galvanized surfaces in Chrome or Black Matt, the D.1 faucet sets an unmistakably unique statement in the bathroom.
The form and color of the D.1 faucet makes them a perfect match for the designer bathroom ranges Viu/XViu, DuraSquare/XSquare, ME by Starck and the new Starck T accessories. Designer siphon, angle valves and pressure hoses are also available in Black Matt as an essential detail for a consistent overall look.
The single-lever handle on the right of the two-hole D.1 faucet mirrors the form of the flat outlet, creating a clear and harmonious layout. The D.1z model offers a rotating handle as an alternative to the lever, enabling optimum positioning, especially in conjunction with wash bowls and consoles.
The circular operating button on the D.1e electronic version similarly takes up the clear formal language of the cylinder on the faucet body. This variant offers the highest comfort and safety thanks to a range of functions. The flat operating button with the integrated LED colored ring is easy and intuitive to operate. A light tap starts or stops the flow of water, and a turn to the left or right alters the water temperature from cold to warm.
With the continuous color display from blue to red, the LED ring also provides visual feedback. Up to three temperature values can be individually stored and directly activated via the “Quick Access” feature. An electronic thermostat integrated into the control unit reacts sensitively to any change to the cold and warm water flow, so that the required temperature is automatically adjusted and kept constant. Additionally, the scald protection is preset at 38 degrees Celsius.
D.1e features a range of presets that can be configured easily and individually, for instance temperature limitation, maximum water flow time, hygiene interval, thermal disinfection, color selection for the ambient lighting on the LED illuminated ring.
