Zalf’s range of wardrobes are much more than just cabinets to store clothes in; they can also conceal monitors, beds, desks and doors and then reveal them when required.
Take the Alterna model featuring the Ciak door, which becomes an innovative TV panel. It opens just like a normal door but it hides a very useful cupboard behind it. The monitor, an integral part of the door itself, opens and shuts with it so that it can be viewed from various angles.
Zalf’s wardrobes can even become a desk: when the door is opened, behind it lies a mini home office with a desk featuring a cable grommet and an LED light. All that’s left is to choose a seat and when the user is finished their job, they can simply shut the wardrobe doors and move on to something else.
What if a wardrobe could also contain a single, three-quarters or even a double spare bed? With the “Guest room” module and its drop-down bed all that’s needed is to move the door from a vertical to a horizontal position. If, on the other hand, the user chooses a module with doors finished on the rear in an L-shaped position they will create a separate area in their home which will be just like having a spare room!
There’s even a detail that looks like an optical illusion: it’s the Alterna wardrobe with the Plana door, a connecting door that separates two spaces. This “secret” passage is – to all effects – part of the wardrobe, which will be made up of normal compartments for clothes and of an “empty space” which will serve as an opening to connect two adjacent rooms.
Last but not least, the wardrobe can also contain a cupboard: one or more specifically-accessorised compartments can house appliances, shoe-racks and other objects the user wants to keep out of sight. Once the doors are shut, the beautiful lines of the Zalf wardrobe will be the only things in sight.
