Staron Design Awards – now open

Every year the Staron Design Awards are open to Commercial and Residential projects. In addition to this, a Concept category is in place to embrace creative thinking for solid surface outside of “real life” projects.

The properties of Staron make it the perfect fit for a multitude of design outcomes. Open to Australian and New Zealand projects, the Staron Design Awards offer a platform to celebrate designers’ knowledge and ability to showcase Solid Surface within the built environment.

As the partnerships manager for Kitchens & Bathroom Quarterly media group, Amy Frank has access to view the latest completed projects across Australia which allows her examine upcoming design trends, new innovative products and materials entering the market.

Her studies in built environment & design at QUT, personal experience of renovating many of her own homes and her professional role reflect a lifelong passion for design.

Selina Zwolsman | KBDi | Manager – Design & Communications

Manager of Design & Communications for the national industry group, the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute of Australia (KBDi), Selina Zwolsman has a bird’s eye view of the very best kitchens and bathrooms across the country.

With her design background, technical knowledge and keen participation in the development of the design profession, Selina offers a well-rounded perspective on all things related to the two most-used spaces in Australian homes.

Staron Design AwardsHOW TO ENTER

Entry to the Staron Design Awards is open to Australian and New Zealand Designers and Architects, across all facets of commercial and residential design. Additionally, we offer a concept category to encourage students creative thinking for solid surface in their assignment base projects. The Concept category is not limited to students but also welcome designers and architects.

The awards are open from October each year with the winners announced end of September the following year. The September cut off allows the winners to be promoted for an extended duration within the remainder of year the prize is awarded.

Each winner will receive a cash prize and extensive marketing.

  • Commercial winner $2000
  • Residential winner $1000
  • Concept winner $250

Entering the awards is easy!

 All you need to do is fill in the company or individuals’ details and project information that captures why Staron Solid Surface was selected for the application.

To be eligible, entries are required to be a part of Australian or New Zealand projects. All images submitted by entrant must require ownership or permission of usage, allowing Austaron Surfaces and their third-party partnerships to use in marketing without limitations.

These images must be a minimum of 300dpi (excluding Concept Category)
