Leicht describes “Xtend+” as a new philosophy of kitchen design to allow the visualisation of kitchens in a new and different way, freeing yourself from traditional plans.
The inspiration for the design came from Leicht’s Interior Design Studio and features a wall-fitted aluminium shelving system with individually-lit shelves which can be variably positioned in current-carrying rails. Horizontal slats can be closed at any time to form a smooth wall surface or can be opened entirely or partially.
“Xtend+” is a great option to create a smooth, streamlined surface for upper cabinetry at the push of a button. The horizontal slats are 13cm wide and 4cm thick and are slotted into the supports of the sturdy aluminium construction. Operated via remote control, the individual areas can be controlled separately – there’s even a control app available for iPhone users.
For design flexibility, the MDF material of the slats can be lacquered to match the kitchen cabinets or add contrast, depending on your needs.
The “Xtend+” shelving system is available in grids up to 180cm wide and 134cm high which means it can be installed to finish flush with the tall units. The pull-up technology is integrated above the slats behind an easily accessible drop shutter that at the same time is level with adjacent tall units.
