Victoria + Albert’s ios bath has been given the super star treatment with a custom Audrey Hepburn design which the company expects to be so popular it will sell out.
Chosen for its many fine features, the ios bath which is part of Victoria + Albert’s modern collection, features a contemporary and compact design, perfectly complementing households where space is at a premium. A small bath with an impressive capacity that offers double ended bathing, the ios boasts a striking symmetry and is easily a statement piece in any bathroom.
Now custom-finished by Australian distribution partner Luxe By Design and designed by Colour Cult, a graphics design company, the Audrey Hepburn design was initially a project formed to showcase the scope of what can be done with custom finished baths. “This project was intended to highlight that there is no limit with what can be achieved with custom finished baths and that it is really up to the client’s imagination,” said Michael Swyny, General Manager of Luxe by Design.
“Audrey Hepburn is the epitome of class and style, elegance and appeal. She is simply timeless and a major icon of the pop art movement…she is also British which incidentally worked well as Victoria + Albert is based in London,” said Swyny.
Victoria + Albert’s ios bath, as with all the brand’s baths and basins, is made out of a single piece of QUARRYCAST®, a unique Volcanic Limestone™ material with a smooth, white, glossy surface, which can easily be customised with water or oil-based paints in a variety of colours, allowing for greater design flexibility and coordination with other aspects of a bathroom.
The striking bath is expected to retail for $19,500; it is an Australian first and available in limited release.
