Guest Posts FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ on Guest Posts – please READ the information below carefully to confirm your post is relevant for our platform and our audience BEFORE contacting us.

Do you accept guest posts?

Yes! Our audience loves to hear from relevant members of the industry about their area of expertise.

What’s a good topic for a guest post?

Stick to something you know and something you can comment on with a level of expertise or authority. If you’ve had an experience at an international event and wish to write a report, or you can comment on an emerging design trend – we’d love to hear from you. Do you have an exciting new product or service to tell us about – that’s great! Have you discovered an exciting new program or app that’s changed your business? We’d love to know about it and how you use it. Or, we’re happy for you to suggest a topic – just make sure it’s relevant.

What doesn’t work with our audience?

Anything overly “salesy” or self-promotional; anything DIY or consumer-focussed; anything irrelevant to the design/building industry.

Do you have editorial guidelines?

Yes. Your guest post must be original material – we will be checking for plagiarism. It must be written well, grammatically correct and in English. It must be interesting, informative, educational and inspirational to ensure it engages our audience. Aim for around 500-800 words depending on the content. Your post should address the needs and interests of our audience – primarily made up of specifiers (kitchen/bathroom designers, interior designers, builders, developers etc…). We retain the right to reject any post that does not meet these guidelines.

Can I include a link to my website?

Yes. Guest posts can all include one call to action at the bottom of the article.

Does it cost anything to publish a guest post?

No, not for a one-off guest post. But, if you’re looking for regular exposure to our audience and would like a more strategic approach to your branding, please email [email protected] to discuss our sponsorship packages.

What’s the best way to pitch a guest post?

Once you’ve read the above and you’re sure your suggestion is relevant, please email [email protected] with GUEST POST in the subject line and we can chat further.
