I have fond memories of SodaStream from my childhood so imagine my delight when I discovered that the new Samsung four-door refrigerator featured an option for sparkling water via the water and ice dispenser.
The dispenser uses a standard SodaStream 60-litre CO2 cylinder inside the refrigerator door to create three different levels of carbonation – so homeowners can have their sparkling water just the way they like it. The cylinder is also easily accessible to change when empty making it a very functional addition to a standard water/ice dispenser.
Normally, a SodaStream unit is an additional small appliance for which homeowners need to find space in drawers or cupboards to store when not in use, but this great idea combines it – very logically – within the refrigerator to save on storage space.
Although not yet available in Australia, this four-door refrigerator is a great example of two companies combining ideas for mutual benefit and coming up with a functional and practical product.
