There are many ways to enhance the beauty and look of one of your projects be it a kitchen, a bathroom, or in some instances that whole house. You can landscape or redecorate your interiors or have a new paint job done. But there is nothing quite like an amazing lighting design to dramatically change the feel and mood of a room with a smooth subtlety. The decision to hire a lighting designer, or better still, gain the knowledge to offer the expertise, is up to you and how important you think good illumination is to your project and 
your clients.
Some amazing and some quirky lights were shown at Euroluce in Milan recently so I thought we’d take a look at some of those that not only caught the eyes of the crowd but captivated designers, bloggers, columnists and experts alike.We have to start off with an absolute favourite, the elegant String Light from Flos. It was designed by Michael Anastassiades for Flos as part of Euroluce. The lines are simple and it has perfect proportion, giving emphasis to the space it occupies as much as the light itself. This would be a perfect light over some of those larger island units and proved to be an absolute winner!
Moooi have released an unusual collection of Tub and Bucket lamps designed by Dutch company Studio Job. The various designs play on the utility and form of a bath tub and bucket, which have been turned upside down to create the light shades – so the question has to be how you would use this in a project?
Many in the European design community love the work that Nendo produce and the Nuno lights they designed for Vibia are another super cool design from the Japanese studio. The delicate design is constructed from layers and layers of cloth (known as ‘nuno’ in Japanese) which are stuck to a resin frame in an organic and natural manner.
