On a wet and wild Sydney evening, NSW KBDi members and their guests attended en masse at the Cass Brothers Petersham flagship showroom for one of the best Chapter events in a long time. Whilst guests were made to wait for the announcement of the NSW KBDi finalists for the 2013 Designer Awards, Cass Brothers Managing Director, Ross Cass detailed the company’s history, including his 32 years in the business.
As Bathroom, Kitchen and Plumbing Suppliers they are Sydney’s leading authority in bathroom style. Having been in the bathroom industry since 1972, Cass Brothers is one of the longest serving bathroom companies within Sydney. They are at the forefront of the bathroom industry with their exceptional customer service and technical bathroom product knowledge.
As Ross said they pride themsleves on exceptional product displays, known and trusted brands and passion in customer service. They help their customers select quality products to suit their needs, including:

Unquestionably, the favourite judge on Channel 9’s blockbuster renovation show, “The Block”, is Sydney based designer Darren Palmer – himself a long time advocate of the Cass Brothers business. Darren enlightened guests with images and descriptions from many of the projects he has been involved with over the years, and revealed some interesting facts – such as most of the renovations he has completed for himself, due to a variety of reasons, he’s never stayed in!! He certainly connected with the designers at the event, and when you see some of the work he has created it’s not hard to see why on his website he states “whether you have clear vision of your dream home or need help to uncover it, you can be assured we’ll be able to interpret your desires and create spaces that are perfectly suited to your needs and lifestyle.’
The big news from an industry perspective was the announcement of the NSW Finalists in the 2013 KBDi Designer Awards, and as Alex Milne from KBDi said “the judges were not only amazed at the quality of entries, but the number of entries – a record number were received this year”
A great night from many perpectives, Cass Brothers were superb and very generous hosts, Darren entertained the masses with class (and much patience when it came to photos!) and we wish all the finalists the best for the National Awards in Noosa in August
