Designed by Massimo Castagna, this is the new W75 kitchen system from Italian kitchen designer and manufacturer, Rossana. Displayed at this year’s Eurocucina, the W75 kitchen system is engaging and appealing thanks to Rossana’s “Atelier” selection of materials and the company says it is “the highest expression of the historic brand’s evolution and pedigree”.
The addition of a number of special components for storage solutions has been developed as a single-range system, rather than for an individual model, allowing the various items to be mixed and matched across Rossana’s collection. This allows for infinite potential for design compositions that are tailored to the customer’s needs.
The “Atelier” options offer the designer a vast assortment of top-quality materials that can be applied across a range of made-to-measure kitchens which sets this collection apart from other mass-produced ranges.
Of interest is the free-standing, suspended cupboard installed away from the wall: two large horizontal shelves, raised above the floor and resting on chunky metal feet, provide the framework for container units in clear glass throughout and in wood, finished on all sides, with hinged and retracting doors behind which appliances can be cleverly hidden.
This new approach to a kitchen cupboard system allows the cupboards to become display cases with their light, transparent forms which act as a soft border between the kitchen and adjoining living rooms.
