Natural Skin from Minacciolo

mina_140408_1292_lrThose of you lucky enough to visit Eurocucina earlier this year might remember an attention-catching display which featured a waterfall raining down upon a kitchen island bench at the stand of Italian furnishing company Minacciolo. Designed by architect Silvio Stefani together with R&D Minacciolo,  “Natural Skin” was one of the kitchens displayed on its stand in a variety of new finishes.

Constructed from high-density wood fibreboards, the Natural Skin doors are dyed with organic colourants (to ensure the colour extends through the depth of the door) and are held together by a special resin which makes the doors particularly resistant to scratches, dings and dents.

The collection features tall units that help to define spaces and functions which allows designers the freedom to customise the layout to suit the client’s needs. The tall units can be used to separate rooms or become free-standing units accessible from all sides, or can be come smaller pantry units that fit within the kitchen footprint.
