Released this year at ZOW, Germany, these two new products from Hailo Fitted Technology are self-supporting, European-standard format waste separation systems for base units which cater to the particular challenges of fitted kitchen sink units.
Both the “short” and “low” options come with covered, top mounted, ball-bearing telescopic extension slides fitted with the cushioned ‘Smooth-Tec’ self-closing feature. The self-adjusting side sections of the waste separation systems – made from high-end grey plastic – and a frame housing with silver-coloured metal parts ensure simple installation in 16mm and 19mm side walls.
The ‘short’ model is, as the name suggests, particularly short with a depth of just 332mm. The design is available for base units of between 45cm and 60cm with clear internal dimensions in excess of 450mm. Depending on the width, the system is equipped with two or three containers, each with a total volume of between 28-litres and 40-litres.
The ‘low’ version for 60cm base units is just 306mm high and, therefore, perfect for deployment in kitchen sink units with underslung kitchen sinks. These are placed under the work surface and are positioned deeper inside the unit. The Cargo-Soft low permits 4-fold separation with a total volume of 36-litres. Width-wise, the system with a depth of 448mm varies between 562mm and 568mm.
