Euromobil relaunches Filò

25 years after it’s original creation, Euromobil relaunches Filò – one of the company’s most successful kitchen designs by Roberto Gobbo.

Euromobil FiloThe world was a very different place back in 1991 when Euromobil launched onto the kitchen market a revolutionary design by Roberto Gobbo. Now, 25 years later, Filò has been re-interpreted in a contemporary setting with the addition of an industrial touch while retaining the essential design and technology of the original version.

Euromobil FiloGruppo Euromobile describes the venture as: “Roberto Gubbo revisits the archetype traditional kitchen, without forgetting the past, but looking to the future”.

The decision was made to keep the name Filò – an ancient name for the area of the house in which women would sit to spin yarns. The room traditionally housed a warm fire and it was a place to chat, tell stories and generally socialise. The name is significant because it evokes past moments of family life and the company wants the kitchen to promote the tradition of socialising, meeting in the kitchen and enjoying each other’s company.

Euromobil FiloThe idea is to share the kitchen, using it not only for its functions, but also to recapture the pleasure of conversation when preparing food, to consider it not just a work area, but a meeting place.

While paying due homage to tradition, it was also important the kitchen look to the future and embrace innovation and new materials. The worktop is made from black granite which has been processed and treated to create a surface that embodies a textural quality, almost like fabric.

Euromobil FiloThere are many elements that make Filò a kitchen of the future: an equipped channel with integrated automatic slide-away extractor hood, a snack counter that slides sideways, customer-definable walls with shelves illuminated by integrated LED lighting, and an integrated Bluetooth audio system.

Filò is also available with the new Fusion finish, a lacquered finish that simulates the effect of brushed metal surfaces to enhance the design of the kitchen. Reflected light contributes to creating pleasant movements and shading, making each element unique.
