Earlier this year, Fir Italia at ISH presented two new collections of taps and mixers, PlaySteel and LifeSteel, characterised by next generation ultra-minimalist design.
These new taps and mixers in AISI 316L stainless steel, will become part of the “Green Total Look” program, the new and revolutionary “bathroom concept” by Fir Italia that proposes taps and mixers for the bathroom and shower solutions which are safe for both the environment and people, in line with the new trends and needs of interior design and furnishing.
The “Green Total Look” bases its philosophy on three points: reliable and hygienic eco-compatible materials; energy saving solutions; and, ultra-minimalist design.
Reliable and totally hygienic eco-compatible materials
AISI 316L stainless steel is a material that is widely recognized and selected by architects, designers and final users for its excellent hygiene, simplicity in cleaning, high resistance, corrosion-free quality eco-compatibility and 100% recyclability. These characteristics make it ideal in the tap sector for use in the bathroom, shower area, in spas and wellness centres, as well as in kitchens.
“Energy saving” solutions to optimize water consumption
All the taps and mixers for the “Green Total Look” wash basin are equipped with 6l/m water flow reducers and all shower heads are optimised by means of a 9 l/m water flow reducer, with a jet which is, nevertheless, vigorous and regenerating. ”Green” solutions which reduce water consumption with a consequent saving of about 50% of water consumption in the bathroom.
Next generation, ultra-minimalist design
PlaySteel® and LifeSteel® are characterised by a next generation ultra-minimalist design that exploits the characteristics of stainless steel to re-interpret the square style, resulting in slender shapes and extreme thicknesses.
Fir Italia at ISH also unveiled FirUnico® – the innovative universal built-in system for all built-in solutions for bathroom mixers. It is equipped with 5 outlets, 4 of which for the shower area and 1 further front outlet for the wash basin area and it is compatible with all of the wall-mounted built-in shower, thermostatic shower and wash basin mixers for a total of more than 100 articles in the Fir Italia collections.
The FirUnico® universal built-in system is a “green” project, in that it has a lead-free DZR brass body (maximum lead content of 0.2%), a material able to ensure no release of harmful particles to the health of people and environment. Furthermore it is equipped with food grade gaskets and with certified food grade flow control adapters made of technopolymer (KTW, W270, ACS, NSF61, WRAS), completely non-toxic and fully recyclable.
FirUnico® has been engineered to offer the best in terms of functionality, reliability and durability through time, proven through strict laboratory testing that has certified the quality (DVGW: DIN EN 817 – DIN EN 1111). FirUnico® has been tested at a pressure of over 25 bar and subjected to continuous hot and cold water operation for over 500 hours. FirUnico® is completely hermetic thanks to two special gaskets, and its structure guarantees total absence of noise, belonging to Group I of the noise classification groups.
