The new Sicily is my Love collection features Smeg’s multi-award winning appliances, hand decorated with Dolce & Gabbana’s flamboyant, richly coloured Sicilian artwork.
Each piece is masterfully adorned with vibrant artwork which captures the very essence of Sicily. Golden lemons, prickly pears, bright red cherries, vibrant florals and legendary landmarks – all feature in a sublime mix of reds, yellows, blues and greens.
The collaboration is the epitome of ‘Made in Italy’ style, art and fashion and literally brings couture level design to the kitchen. Aptly titled Sicily is my Love, the collection celebrates the homeland of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana while encapsulating two of Smeg’s most enduring passions – good food and original, innovative design.
Smeg’s small appliances have gained star status in their own right, winning the most internationally prestigious design awards such as Good Design, iF Design and Red Dot Design. The collaboration between Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana takes small appliances to a new level through their truly unique take on art for the home.
The 1.7L capacity kettle features a soft opening lid, limescale filter and 360° swivel base while the two-slice toaster has six browning levels, reheat, defrost and bagel functions plus automatic centring racks. The powerful 800W blender, with 1.5L Tritan jug, has a smooth start function and four speeds plus three preset programmes – smoothie, ice crush and pulse.
Breakfast never looked so stylish as with the Sicily is my Love citrus juicer! The appliance’s quietly powerful 70W motor automatically activates as soon as the half-piece of citrus is pressed to its reamer. There’s also a strainer, a drip-free spout and an impact-resistant Tritan juicing bowl – all to ensure the perfect glass of breakfast juice.
