The BQI1205HAU hooded built-in barbecue is one of the most powerful on the market with five burners and a total of 72Mj/h of power. The appliance’s thermostat ranges from 0 to 400˚C while its hood is double insulated to ensure the exterior is completely safe to touch.
The Smeg designer barbecue is built to last and retain its sleek good looks. The entire appliance is crafted from the highest quality 316 marine grade stainless steel, including the hotplates and warming rack, with laser-etched control panel. Every detail underpins the brand’s claim of longevity and durability.
A clever fat and oil collection system ensures the healthiest of barbecuing results. The inclined cooking plates and integrated liquid waste receptacle drain excess fat and oil away from the food and cooking surface to keep the food as fat-free as possible. This technology also minimises those annoying flare-ups caused by fat meeting flame. The barbecue comes complete with an additional cast iron hotplate set and barbecue cover.
Safety also plays a role in the design of the Smeg barbecue with each of the five burners featuring a flame failure safety device. Should the flame be accidentally extinguished, the gas supply will stop and the flame can only be reignited by following the regular ignition procedure.
