The city of Milan comes alive during Design Week.

The tour starts in Milan with four full days located in the heart of the city and daily trips to Salone del Mobile (furniture), Eurocucina (kitchens), FTK (appliances) and Salone Bagno (bathrooms). Evening industry events are part of the program and there will also be a guided tour to one of Milan’s most noted Design Districts, Brera, for visits to designer showrooms and a chance to soak up inspiration from a variety of pop-up installations.

Over the weekend, the group will head to the romantic city of Verona for some R&R and a chance to experience Italian Liberation Day (interestingly, held on the same day as our ANZAC Day) before heading to Vicenza for a winery tour with wine tasting and lunch.

In the second week of the tour the focus is on immersive visits to various sponsors for a behind-the-scenes look into the design and manufacturing processes that bring these products to life. In 2020, AIDT is supported by Bisazza, Barazza and Gollinucci who have all graciously opened their doors and provided the opportunity to visit their facilities.

Introducing BisazzaRenowned worldwide as a top luxury brand for the design sector and the industry’s leading producer of glass mosaics for interior and exterior decoration, Bisazza will welcome AIDT attendees to its Foundation located in Montecchio Maggiore.

Introducing BarazzaBarazza is located in Conegliano, near Treviso, and is an international success. Barazza’s hobs, sinks and accessories can be seamlessly integrated into a stainless steel bench, providing the designer with the creative freedom around clean lines, functionality, minimalist elegance and ergonomics.

Gollinucci’s headquarters are located in Cesena, near Rimini, and the company is renowned for its high-quality, solution-focussed waste management systems. In recent years it has diversified its organisational and storage solutions to introduce new products for the bathroom, kitchen, laundry and living rooms.
