Hi all and welcome to 2020. We hope you all enjoyed a break over the Festive Season. If you have been affected by the bushfire activity we hope you have stayed safe.

We thought our first post of the new decade would be a great opportunity to look at what will be happening this year so we can all start making some plans. So, here are some key dates to pop in your calendar now:

Mon 13 – Sun 19 Jan: IMM Cologne

Hosted right at the start of the year, imm cologne is the most important date on the interior design calendar. It’s where the entire interiors industry gathers to present and discover new launches from around the world, to experience the major future trends and make a successful start to the new season. The trade fair is a must-attend event for senior decision makers from all international markets and the whole interior design scene. Mon 20 April – Fri 1 May: AIDT Tour to iSalone

This 12-day International Design Tour will take in the latest releases in kitchen design, appliance technology, bathroom fittings and fixtures, the latest lighting concepts, and furniture design at Salone del Mobile, Eurocucina, FTK (appliances) and The International Bathroom Exhibition. Attendees will also enjoy immersive visits to sponsors Bisazza, Barazza and Gollinucci for a behind-the-scenes look into the design and manufacturing processes that bring these products to life. With evening events in Milan and visits to the renowned Milan design districts, plus time for some R&R in the amazing city of Verona and an incredible architectural winery tour, follow our journey on the TKBB Tour Blog.

Tue 21 – Sat 26 April: Salone del Mobile.Milano

Salone del Mobile is Europe’s premier interior design show and attracts more than 434,000 international visitors every year. Held biennially, Eurocucina and Salone Bagno (The International Bathroom Exhibition) have become an integral part of the show’s offering. With the addition of the Future Technology for the Kitchen — FTK (appliances) section, the show is a must-see for anyone in the kitchen, bathroom or interior design industries. Exhibitors come from around the world to show off their design flair, creativity and innovation. The show also comprises young designers, furnishings, fabrics, interior design, and furniture. Wed 1 – Sat 4 July: AWISA

The exhibition is the must-see event for everyone in woodworking and associated industries and professions. Furniture manufacturers, cabinet makers, kitchen manufacturers, door, window and moulding manufacturers, joinery manufacturers, architects, designers, shop and office fitters, builders, and other wood, timber and panel processing industries are welcome to attend. Thur 16 – Sun 19 July: Australian International Furniture Fair

Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) is Australia’s longest running and largest furniture buying and networking destination for the nation’s leading retail chains and independent retailers. Co-located with Decor + Design the 2017 event attracted over 11,500 visitors and 330+ exhibitors in 2017. More >>>

Fri 14 – Sat 15 Aug: KBDi Symposium & Gala

KBDi Design Symposium and Awards Gala. This year’s conference and Gala will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel (176 Cumberland Street, The Rocks, Sydney). Early bird rates are available now for KBDi delegates. More >>>

Fri 18 Sept: ACFA Industry Awards

Entries are open to all financial ACFA members and non-members of ACFA. Projects submitted must be completed between 31 July 2019 to 31 July 2020. There are three major awards available: Cabinetmaker of the Year 2019; Design of the Year 2019; Outstanding Achievement of the Year 2019. More >>>

Thur 17 – Sun 20 Sept: London Design Fair

Located in the creative heart of East London, the London Design Fair is a four-day event that brings together 550 exhibitors from 40 countries, including; independent designers, established brands, international country pavilions, features and exhibitions. More >>>
