If you are looking to take your business to the next level, why not consider taking on an apprentice in 2020?
Existing to support, represent and facilitate collaboration in the furnishing, cabinetry and joinery industries, ACFA is the first choice for training programs. Traineeships and apprenticeships are available throughout NSW, ACT and SA through ACFA and can be tailored to meet your company’s individual needs, making it relevant to your workplace and your business requirements.
With more than twenty years’ experience providing training and support to the industry and an established and integrated network of support services, ACFA’s training programs will ensure that your employees are:
- trained and competent

- familiar with your business and its operations
ACFA takes a holistic approach to training by developing an individualised training program that meets the needs of the workplace and the requirements of accredited training which results in high staff retention rates, a collaborative work environment and effective and efficient workers.
What ACFA does:
- develop a training plan that best reflects your business
- use your machinery, your methods to produce your product
- flexible scheduling of assessment visits
- skills development incorporating current industry trends and trade practices
- one-on-one contact with the apprentice and a direct supervisor
- real work projects and workplace assessments
- recognition of current skills, knowledge and work experience
The not-for-profit industry association became a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) nearly 20 years ago at the request of its rural and remote members. ACFA’s delivery method provides training and assessment to your apprentice, in your own workplace. ACFA’s trainers have years of industry experience and maintain currency to ensure that the apprentices receive the best possible assistance throughout their course.
The Certificate III in Cabinet Making qualification has two pathways which are “Furniture” and “Kitchens and Bathrooms” to best suit your business. The ACFA workplace trainer and assessor can tailor the training to suit your business’ needs.
This nationally recognised training is subsidised by the relevant state Government and leads to an AQF certification outcome.
