Fisher & Paykel’s next-generation Trade Resources makes design faster and easier

Fisher & Paykel’s goal is to be the most human-centred appliance brand in the world, and that includes the technical content that it creates for specifiers, designers and architects (SDA).

Fisher & Paykel’s next-generation Trade Resources makes it easier and faster for SDA’s to design and document kitchens and laundries, and for builders and developers to create schedules quickly and easily. The new and improved content includes high-resolution models for real-time rendering, parametric design in BIM and sophisticated scheduling. The new interface is intuitive and user-friendly enabling customers to filter, search and easily access files.

Fisher & Paykel worked closely with leading BIM-focused architecture practices Warren & Mahoney and Archier to develop the technical content and ensure the Revit and ArchiCAD files were optimised and specifically developed for the trade. “That means deeply understanding how architects, kitchen designers and cabinetmakers work, what information they are looking for at various stages in the design and build process, and then delivering the information that makes their work easier and faster,” says Nicole Stock, Global Marketing Manager for Fisher & Paykel.

Some of the highlights includes the three levels of detail settings – coarse, medium and fine – in the Revit files. The coarse level setting shows clearances to be mocked out, so users can instantly identify clashes or impediments. The files also indicate services, such as gas and plumbing, so users can plan for connections. Designed for best practice, the settings include placement of objects in relation to the origin point, and the ability to alter parameters, to make the use of appliances easy for designers.

Our new Trade Resources provides a great breadth of information across design and construction, and it is all finely tuned for how SDA design and install. It provides the level of detail that allows designers to craft and perfect all the small details,” Nicole says.

Users will also find documentation and downloads across the entire design and construction process, including detailed datasheets, hinge articulation files, and alternative installation files, giving designers the tools for true design freedom.

It is all now located on the Trade Resources section of the Fisher & Paykel website, which replaces The Kitchen Tools. The intuitive, user-friendly interface makes it easy to filter, search and download files. And a design section links to the latest Case Studies for inspiration on creating the perfect kitchen with Fisher & Paykel appliances.
