Seletti CUT ‘N PASTE collection

Seletti, the Italian figurative design brand known all over the world for its ironic, irreverent and unconventional spirit, presents the CUT ‘N PASTE collection conceived by Dutch designer Annebet Philips as a large family of objects: candelabra, lamps, clock, mirror, frames and shelves.

Entirely made of recycled cardboard and tape, the collection is in line with the work of the designer known for her bold shapes, unexpected elements and bold graphic tone.

Seletti-Cut n Paste“These materials, often used in the design process for making prototypes, actually turned out working pretty good for the end result”, Annebet Philips explains. “Thanks to the cardboard, the products are light and the lamps are easy to hang or place, while the contrasting tape gives them a strong, graphic look. An epoxy layer gives the items extra strength and durability”.

Started as limited edition pieces, CUT ‘N PASTE is now part of the Seletti family, becoming an accessible limited edition, available to all the design lovers and thus confirming the distinctive democratic philosophy of the brand.

Seletti-Cut n Paste“I immediately fell in love with Annebet’s works”, says Stefano Seletti, Seletti’s art director. “I thought they were perfect for us. They carry with them that lightness which is not only material lightness, but also a conceptual one. Plus, the fact that it can be produced by recycled cardboard makes it a sort of a statement in terms of what we, as company, can do together with the designers to address the issue related to sustainability in this business”.

Seletti-Cut n PasteCUT ‘N PASTE, with its lively and unique design, matches perfectly with the kaleidoscopic proposal by Seletti: Annebet Philips’ humour and creativity adds up to the other collaborations of the brand with international designers and artists; among them, TOILETPAPER HOME in collaborations with TOILETPAPER – the image-only magazine by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari – and BLOW by Studio Job’s Job Smeets.
